Block of cylinders

GENERAL INFORMATION

At complete dismantling of the block of cylinders carefully clear and remove extraneous particles from cavities and oil channels. Completely remove the remains of cleaning liquids. Turn on this special attention. If there is a possibility, blow the block of cylinders dry air.
For gap definition in interface of the piston to the cylinder measure diameter of pistons. At engines of all types it becomes in the lower part of a skirt of the piston. The received values write down. Further diameters of cylinders as it is described below are measured. For this purpose use a nutromer:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure diameter of the cylinder at height of 10 mm from the top edge and 10 mm from the bottom edge.

2. In addition measure diameter on a half of height of the cylinder.

3. Specified above measurement are carried out in the direction of longitudinal and cross-section axes of the block of cylinders. Thus, for each cylinder six measurements are carried out. The difference between top and bottom measurements is a konusnost, a difference between diameters in the longitudinal and cross-section directions - ovality of the piston. Any of received diameters should not be less, given in Specifications. There are some repair sizes of pistons. The block of cylinders can be as appropriate chiseled. The interfaced surface of the block of cylinders should be checked on not planeness also as it becomes concerning a head of cylinders. The surface is checked in the longitudinal, cross-section and diagonal directions. The maximum not planeness - no more than 0.10 mm.
