GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal and installation of the pallet of a case

At removal and installation of the pallet of a case except a cross-piece with the chassis both support of the engine should act in film. The engine is necessary for raising the load-lifting mechanism to unload support. The forward part of the car should be lifted and put on supports.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a guard of the pallet of a case.
2. Remove a cross-piece in a forward part of the car.
3. Unscrew bolts, remove the left and right support of the engine and raise the engine. Watch to clamping the cooling fan.
4. Unscrew bolts and disconnect the left and right beams of the bridge from a longitudinal beam. Lower the bridge on the garage lift for increase in a gleam under the case pallet.
5. Turn out a drain stopper from the lower part of the pallet of a case.
6. Unscrew bolts and remove the lower part of the pallet of a case. After that disconnect the top part of a case. Remove a maslopriyemny grid if it is necessary.
7. Carefully clear all interfaced surfaces of old hermetic.
8. Grease with hermetic the left and right planes of interface to a case of a drive of the mechanism of distribution and a place on a back cover of the radical bearing.
9. Put on the case pallet laying (having greased it with a small amount of konsistentny greasing for fixing) and press the case pallet to the block of cylinders. Bolts evenly on a circle tighten the moment of 8 Nanometers. Establish the lower part of the pallet of a case.
10. Lower the engine on suspension brackets and fix bolts both support (52 Nanometers).
11. In summary fill the engine with necessary amount of impellent oil.

Removal and installation of the oil pump


Removal and installation of the oil pump is made also, as for the engine of 2.0 l till 1997 of release. The difference is that it is not necessary to remove a gear belt. The pallet of a case is necessary for removing.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation it is necessary to grease bolts of fastening of a pipe of an oil pipeline with means for fixing of a carving of "Loctite". It is necessary to maintain the inhaling moments.

Repair of the oil pump


Despite distinction in a design of gear wheels in this case concerning repair the instructions provided on above operate. At the oil pump of the engine of 2.4 l pryamozuby gear wheels are applied.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For measurement of an axial gap in the pump put a steel ruler on the case of the pump and measure shchupy a gap, as is shown in иллюстр. The gap should make 0.10 – 0.20 mm. If it leaves out of the specified limits, a cover of the pump replace.
2. The lateral gap is measured in gearing of the pump in a different way. Insert щуп, as is shown in иллюстр. between gear wheels. If the gap more than 0.01 – 0.20 mm, the pump is subject to replacement.
3. In case of application of shaft of the pump of the repair size the case of a drive of the mechanism of distribution at which gear wheels or shaft are chiseled to the increased repair size is sometimes established. At replacement of gear wheels/shaft it is important. For this reason it is necessary to check, whether there is a marking 0.2 in a place shown on иллюстр. Marking specifies the increased repair size.
4. Before installation the cover of the pump is greased with hermetic. Bolts tighten evenly on a circle. Before installation of the pump turn out a stopper and fill the pump with oil to exclude its work dry at the first start-up. After that a stopper again screw.

Epiploon of the oil pump


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If from the forward party of the engine leaks are visible, in most cases they are a consequence of violation of tightness of epiploons of a cranked shaft. The epiploon can be replaced without engine removal as it was described on above. At the engine of 2.0 l and the DOHC engine the epiploon is in the case of the oil pump, at the engine of 2.4 l – in a cover of a case of a drive of distribution.
For removal of an epiploon punch a sharp opravka a small opening in it, screw in it саморез (or two, lying opposite to each other самореза) and pull out an epiploon flat-nose pliers.
Grease a working edge and an external surface of a new epiploon and press it by means of a pipe leaning on an external contour, in the pump case.
