Disk brakes of back wheels


Here supports have the same execution, as on forward wheels. Except for given below the description, other works are carried out to similarly brake mechanism of forward wheels.


Instructions on removal and installation of brake shoes of the forward brake mechanism, given in Section 2, operate concerning blocks of disk brakes of the back brake mechanism. Difference consists in the moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening which in this case makes 44 Nanometers.

1. At assembly press the piston into a cylinder opening just as it is shown. Thus it is necessary to watch liquid level in a tank.
2. Establish clips and washers on directing blocks and establish on the right and at the left brake shoes.
3. The wear index in the lower part of brake shoes should indicate inside. Establish a support
4. In summary fill in brake liquid in a tank of the main cylinder and several times press a brake pedal that brake shoes occupied the correct situation.

Brake shoes demand extra earnings. Therefore it is not necessary to press sharply a brake pedal in an initial stage of operation.


There is a repair kit of a support. At its absence it is necessary to replace a support. Excepting some details, as a whole a support looks like, shown on an illustration.

At repair of a support it is necessary to be guided by the instructions provided in subsection 12.1.2 for a support of the car from the middle of 1995 of release.


In the presence of any outer defects of consolidations of accession of a brake hose it is necessary to replace them.

1. If directing blocks it was removed, establish and fix it bolts on a semi-axis casing.
2. Bolts tighten the moment of 104 Nanometers.
3. Attach a brake hose to a support, watching correctness of provision of a hose. The directing finger should enter into a support opening.
4. A hollow bolt of accession of a brake hose tighten the moment of 35 Nanometers.
5. Unions of removal of air tighten the moment of 8 Nanometers and are closed by caps.
6. Again establish brake shoes as it is described above.
7. Remove polyethylene from a mouth of a jellied opening of a tank of the main cylinder.
8. Add if necessary brake liquid and wrap a tank stopper.
9. Other works are carried out to sequences, return to removal.
10. Remove air from brake system as it is described below.
11. After assembly check system on tightness.
12. Check action of brake system in the course of car movement.

Before removal of a brake disk it is necessary for checking on palpation since the disk can be deformed. The brake disk fastens a bolt with Torx head. However the bolt completely does not press a disk to a wheel nave. For providing a full prileganiye one of bolts of fastening of a wheel is rolled with the remote plug in a nave opposite to a bolt of fastening of a brake disk and clamps a nave. Thus uniform fastening on the right and at the left is reached.
Disk check on palpation is made according to the description provided in Section 2. Brake disks can be ground if necessary. The minimum admissible thickness of a disk is specified in Specifications.
The brake disk acts in film as follows:

1. If the wheel is already removed, as it was accepted above, turn out a bolt of fastening of the wheel, used at palpation check.
2. Remove a brake disk and as it was described in Section 2 adhere a support a wire to the chassis.
3. Turn out both bolts and disconnect directing from a brake disk.
4. Turn out a special key a fastening bolt in a face surface of a brake disk. The bolt has "Torx" head.
5. Remove a brake disk from a wheel nave. If necessary for this purpose it is possible to use a rubber hammer.

Before installation of a brake disk smooth out a small nazhdachny skin interfaced surfaces of a disk and a wheel nave. If the new brake disk is established, it is necessary for clearing of greasing.

1. Establish a brake disk and обстучите its rubber hammer.
2. Screw and tighten a fastening bolt.
3. Check a brake disk on palpation as it is described above.
4. Unexpectedly appeared palpation can be a consequence of hit of extraneous particles between the planes of interface of a disk and a nave. Then again disassemble connection, clear and collect.
5. Establish directing and tighten bolts of its fastening the moment of 104 Nanometers.
6. Establish brake shoes as it is described in Section 2, observing the moment of an inhaling of directing fingers. On back supports directing fingers fasten the moment of 44 Nanometers.
7. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts of fastening of wheels the moment of 110 Nanometers.
Rims from easy alloys fasten the moment of 120 Nanometers.


The thickness of brake disks can be measured without their removal. It becomes a calliper, as shown. Keep in mind distinction in executions.


Replacement of a casing of a brake disk on back wheels differs from the same operation on forward wheels owing to existence of the parking brake. Work is carried out in a way described below. The description of separate operations is provided in the corresponding subsections.

1. Remove a brake support.
2. Remove a brake disk.
3. Remove details of the parking brake.
4. A brake shoe with a cable cast away down and disconnect a cable.
5. Remove directing blocks as it is described in Chapter 10 for execution with disk brakes.


At disk brakes the parking brake is put in action by means of pressing of brake shoes to a brake disk at impact on the lever of a drive of the parking brake. Details of the parking brake at disk back brakes are shown on an illustration.

The scheme of assembly of brake shoes of the parking brake at disk brakes

1. Remove a support (1).
2. Remove a back brake disk (2).
3. Now the brake is well visible. Clear the mechanism a rag.
4. Press a hand finger from a reverse side of a brake board an anchor pin (3) and clamp flat-nose pliers a spring plate in front of a brake shoe just as it is shown, for a drum-type brake.
5. Press a plate and turn a pin so that it was possible to carry out a head through a spring plate.
6. Remove a plate, a spring and a pin.
7. Work execute on both brake shoes.
8. Removal of a spring (2) is shown on an illustration.
9. Take out a pin (3) from a reverse side of a brake board.
10. Nippers remove the top spring (4) on the one hand, as shown.
11. A screw-driver remove the bottom coupling spring (5).
12. Remove a brake shoe (6).
13. Take away down a brake shoe, as shown, and disconnect a cable from the lever of a drive of the parking brake. It is necessary to remember an arrangement of springs and the adjusting mechanism since the adjusting makhovichok should be on a certain party.
14. Measure internal diameter of a brake disk. If it exceeds 211.4 mm, it is necessary to replace a brake disk. The nominal rate of diameter makes 210 mm.
15. Carefully clear all details.
16. Develop an adjusting bar, oil and several times curtail and develop.
17. In summary curtail a bar for the minimum length.
18. Slightly grease on a brake board of a place of interface to brake shoes.
19. Fix on an anchor pin one of brake shoes on a brake board.
20. Establish the lever of a drive of the parking brake and establish the second brake shoe similar to the first.
21. Establish springs and an adjusting bar.
22. Hook on the top coupling spring between blocks.
23. Establish a brake drum/disk and adjust the parking brake as it is described below.
24. Other works carry out to sequences, return to removal.
