Thermostat thermostat/case

GENERAL INFORMATION

OHC ENGINE OF 2.0 L

For providing a guarantee the thermostat is delivered only together with a drain stopper, i.e. parts are replaced completely.
The thermostat acts in film as follows:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a weight cable from the storage battery.
2. Merge cooling liquid (the section Filling of a cooler of system of cooling of Head the Current leaving and service).
3. Disconnect the top hose from a connecting branch pipe on the engine, and unscrew a stopper together with the thermostat from the thermostat case.

Installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. The sealing ring is established always the new. Bolts tighten the moment of 8 Nanometers.
If under a sealing ring there is a leak, removal and installation of the case of the thermostat represents rather labor-consuming operation. To reach the case of the thermostat it is necessary to remove a gear belt. Besides, it is necessary to remove a pulley of a cranked shaft, a cover of the block of cylinders, the tension device of a gear belt and a protective cover of a gear belt.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a weight cable from the storage battery.
2. Remove multicostal maple a belt as it was described.
3. Merge liquid from cooling system (the section Filling of a cooler of system of cooling of Head the Current leaving and service).
4. Unscrew four bolts of fastening of the generator.
5. Disconnect two hoses from the case of the thermostat and расстыкуйте shtekerny connection of the sensor of the index of temperature.
6. Disconnect a hose from the case of the thermostat and from a final branch pipe of liquid (1).
7. Remove a gear belt as it was described for the OHC engine.
8. Remove a tension roller of a gear belt (the moment of an inhaling of 25 Nanometers).
9. Holding a cranked shaft from a provorachivaniye (include transfer), unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley (the moment of an inhaling of 130 Nanometers + from 40 ° to 50 °, a bolt always replace on new). Remove a pulley (sits with a big tightness).
13 Disconnect cables from a cover of the case of a camshaft. Disconnect two hoses and a case cover (the moment of an inhaling of 8 Nanometers).
10. Remove a cogwheel from a camshaft, having unscrewed a bolt (the shaft keeps from a provorachivaniye for a shestigrannik). Moment of an inhaling of a bolt of 45 Nanometers.
11. Disconnect a cable of the sensor of provision of a camshaft from an internal guard, having remembered its accession.
12. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove a protective cover from the oil pump and the camshaft case (the moment of an inhaling of 6 Nanometers).
13. Now access to the case of the thermostat (1) is free, as is shown in иллюстр. After an otvorachivaniye of bolts of fastening the case acts in film and in an opening the sealing ring is visible. This ring is always replaced, even if it outwardly has no damages.
At replacement of the case of the thermostat the temperature sensor (if it as it should be) is rolled in the new case (11 Nanometers). The branch pipe of production of water fastens the moment of an inhaling of 8 Nanometers (a new sealing ring).
14. Installation of the case of the thermostat is carried out in sequence, return to its removal. Insert into an opening a new sealing ring and fix the case bolts. Moment of an inhaling of bolts of 15 Nanometers. Pay special attention to generator fastening:
15. Basic levels (1) and (2) on иллюстр. fasten the moment of 18 Nanometers.
16. The bottom bolt of fastening tighten the moment of 35 Nanometers.

The thermostat is not subject to repair and in case of its damage is replaced. Its simple check is carried out the next way:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Suspend the thermostat with a final branch pipe on a wire in capacity with cold water.
2. Similarly fix the thermometer.
3. Gradually heat up water and check, whether starts the thermostat to open at the temperature specified in Specifications and whether it opens completely. If it does not occur, a branch pipe and the thermostat replace in a set.

DOHC ENGINE


The thermostat arrangement here is similar to a thermostat arrangement at the engine eight valves (the engine of 2.0 l with OHC). The difference is that the thermostat is directly in the case. For providing a guarantee the thermostat is delivered only complete with the case.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Merge liquid from cooling system (the section Filling of a cooler of system of cooling of Head the Current leaving and service). also disconnect the top hose from a branch pipe on the thermostat case.
2. Unscrew bolts and remove the thermostat case with a sealing ring from a head of cylinders. Carefully clear interfaced surfaces.
3. Establish on a head of cylinders the new case of the thermostat with the thermostat and a new sealing ring and fix bolts. Bolts tighten the moment of 15 Nanometers.
At this engine on a head of cylinders the flange different from two other attached hoses is fixed. Replacement of consolidation is carried out as follows:
4. Disconnect a weight cable from the storage battery.
5. Remove maple a belt as it was described.
6. Merge liquid from cooling system (the section Filling of a cooler of system of cooling of Head the Current leaving and service).
7. Disconnect both levels from a final collector and the generator. Unscrew the bottom bolt of fastening of the generator and reject the generator back.
8. Disconnect both hoses from a connecting flange and disconnect a flange. At once clear an interfaced surface.
9. Establish on a head of cylinders a flange with new consolidation. Tighten bolts the moment of 15 Nanometers.
10. Again attach hoses and fix them collars.
11. Establish into position the generator. Tighten bolts of fastening of both support (1, 2) the moment of 20 Nanometers, and the bottom bolt of the generator the moment of 35 Nanometers. Fastening of the generator of this engine is shown on иллюстр.
12. Establish a belt according to instructions for this engine, attach the storage battery and fill system with liquid.
Start the engine and after a while check system on tightness.

ENGINE OF 2.4 L

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Partially merge liquid from cooling system as it was described in the section Filling of a cooler of system of cooling of Head the Current leaving and service. Level of cooling liquid should be at least below thermostat height.
2. Turn out bolts of fastening of the case of the thermostat (иллюстр.) also uncover. Now the thermostat is free and can be taken out. Over the thermostat there is a rubber sealing ring.

Installation of the thermostat is carried out in sequence, return to removal. The sealing ring is always replaced with the new.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Bolts of fastening of a cover tighten the moment of 6 Nanometers.
