Elimination of leakages of the back bridge

GENERAL INFORMATION

EPIPLOONS OF SEMI-AXES

Epiploons are a part of the bearing of a drive. Greasing is entered into the bearing at manufacturer and the bearing does not need service.
If around the bearing greasing traces are found, the bearing is subject to replacement. Works necessary thus are described below in subsection "Removal and installation of semi-axes and the semi-axis bearing".

EPIPLOON REPLACEMENT IN THE BRIDGE SLEEVE (MODEL WITH ABS)

The epiploon in a sleeve of the bridge is established only for cars with ABS and disk brakes. Bridges of cars without ABS have a bearing arm without an epiploon.
Replacement of an epiploon is carried out as follows:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take out a semi-axis from a bridge sleeve (see the corresponding subsection).
2. Take out an epiploon a screw-driver from a bridge sleeve  
3. Press a new epiploon by means of the corresponding pipe
4. Establish a semi-axis into place.

CONSOLIDATION OF THE COVER OF THE CASE OF DIFFERENTIAL

At a suspension bracket with screw springs mark the provision of a sleeve of the bridge concerning an arm of a connecting bar of a regulator of pressure of a brake.

If screw springs are not present, works are carried out as follows:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew two nuts.
2. Remove an arm of a regulator of pressure of a brake from an axis on a cover of a case of differential.
3. Substitute capacity under a differential case.
4. Turn out a drain stopper in the bridge.
5. Merge oil.
6. Unscrew twelve bolts of fastening of a cover and uncover.
7. Carefully clear interfaced surfaces of a case and a cover.
8. Put hermetic on a cover.
9. Again establish it on a case, having fixed bolts.
10. Evenly tighten bolts the moment of 24 Nanometers.
11. If there are connecting bars of a regulator of pressure of a brake, establish them according to marking and fix bolts.
12. Fill in to the bridge oil to the bottom edge of an opening under a stopper.

REPLACEMENT OF THE EPIPLOON OF THE LEADING GEAR WHEEL OF THE MAIN TRANSFER

Work represents certain difficulties since demands measurement of the moment of a preliminary tightness of bearings of a leading gear wheel with the subsequent complete dismantling, assembly and knot adjustment. Therefore it is recommended to carry out replacement of an epiploon of a leading gear wheel in a repair truck.
