GENERAL INFORMATION

Here too it is necessary to take into consideration year of release of the car as depending on it works have some differences. Distinction is defined in most cases by type of the established engine.

REMOVAL AND PUMP INSTALLATION

Engine of 2.0 l (C20 NE)

These engines were established to the middle of 1995 of release.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove maple a belt of a drive of the pump as it is described below.
2. Disconnect soaking-up hose and the pressure head pipeline from the pump.
3. Collect following liquid. The hose is fixed by a collar, the pipeline a cap nut. Accessions are shown on an illustration.
4. Close openings.
5. Now it is possible to unscrew bolts of fastening and to remove the pump from the console.

6. If it is necessary установ ить the new pump, unscrew at once a coupling bolt and remove a rotary plate since it is rearranged on the new pump.

7. Bolts of fastening of a rotary plate tighten the moment of 25 Nanometers.
8. The pump with the console and a coupling bolt is established. Check maple a belt, put on it and adjust a tension as it is described below. A coupling bolt and bolts of fastening of the console tighten the moment of 25 Nanometers.
9. Establish a hose of a supply of liquid with a new collar and the pressure head pipeline.
10. Screw and tighten a cap nut the moment of 20 Nanometers.
11. After assembly fill in liquid in system and remove air as it is described above.
12. Check system on tightness.

Engine of 2.4 l

This engine is established on cars to the middle of 1995 of release.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In the presence of the conditioner remove maple a belt of a drive of the compressor.
2. Remove maple a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster as it is described below.
3. Disconnect from the pump soaking-up and pressure head pipelines.
4. Collect following liquid. Open openings stop up with caps.
5. Now it is possible to unscrew bolts of fastening and to remove the pump from the console.
  6. Disconnect the pump according to an illustration. For this purpose unscrew a coupling bolt and bolts of fastening of the assembly console.
7. If the pump has to be replaced, disconnect a rotary plate and attach it to the new pump.
8. Bolts of fastening tighten the moment of 25 Nanometers.

The pump in sequence is established, to return to removal.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Bolts of fastening of the pump tighten the moment of 25 Nanometers.
2. Observe the instructions provided above for the pump of the engine of 2.0 l.

The engine of 2.0 l, release from the middle of 1995 and the engine of 2.2 l

Both engines are established on cars of the second generation, i.e. on OHC engines of 2.0 l and DOHC of 2.2 l. Keep in mind that on the car with the conditioner the pump is under the generator.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Weaken a belt tension as it is described in Head the Engine. for both engines. Do not forget to put marking of the direction of rotation of a belt on its external surface.
2. Disconnect from the pump pressure head and soaking-up pipelines.
3. Following liquid collect. Open pipelines stop up.
4. Unscrew bolts 1, 2, 3 and 4, shown on an illustration.
5. Cast away the holder upward and take out the pump.

The pump in sequence is established, to return to removal. Observe the next moments of an inhaling:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put on maple a belt as it is described to Head the Engine
2. Fill in liquid in system and remove air (see the description in Section 13).

REPLACEMENT OF THE MAPLE BELT OF THE DRIVE OF THE PUMP OF THE HYDRAULIC BOOSTER

At cars of new generation maple the belt acts in film and put on according to the instructions provided in Section 3 of Chapter 3. It belongs both to the OHC engine, and to the DOHC engine. The following below the instruction belongs to engines of earlier release.

Engines of 2.0 l to the middle of 1995 of release

It is necessary to remind that in repair trucks to check of a tension of a belt apply the special adaptation. Check of a tension of the belt, described below, it is necessary to consider temporary. It is recommended to check a belt tension in a repair truck later.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Bolts of fastening which are necessary for weakening for a belt tension, are designated on an illustration (And) and (In). At first it is necessary to weaken both bolts (And) and to unscrew bolts (In) in the lower part of the pump.
2. Now both nuts on the right and at the left the tension device are regulated so that the belt weakened, then he acts in film.
3. Put on new maple a belt and pull it rotation of nuts at the left and to the right of a tension element. The belt stretches so that its deflection under pressing of a finger of a hand between two pulleys made 12-13 mm.
4. After completion of adjustment tighten nuts of the tension device the moment of 25 Nanometers. Other bolts tighten the moment of 25 Nanometers.

 

Engines of 2.4 l (to the middle of 1995 of release)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At these engines bolts of a tension of a maple belt are in a place shown on an illustration.
2. In the presence of the conditioner previously it is necessary to remove a belt of a drive of the compressor.
Here too control of a tension is carried out by means of the special adaptation.
3. Weaken tension bolts (And) and bolts (In), shown on an illustration. Weaken both nuts in the places shown by shooters so that a belt weakened and remove it.
4. Put on a new belt and pull it adjustment of the nuts shown by an arrow so that a deflection of a belt under pressing of a finger of a hand between two pulleys made 12-13 mm.
5. Tighten adjusting nuts the moment of 40 Nanometers, bolts of fastening of the pump the moment of 25 Nanometers.
